Couldn't you just dish up something fabulous with these?
I spotted them at a cool interior design shop called Nola Home in North Minneapolis. They've got all sorts of one of a kind things from far away lands such as Africa and Asia.
So, since we are celebrating food as I count down to next Tuesday's kitchen demolition (yikes) I was thinking...what if I did a giveaway based on food from far away places.
Hmmmm...okay, I've got it. Just leave a comment telling me the one place in the world where you would love to travel for the food. Of course, if you're like me there will be many places, but if you had to choose one country to eat your way through, what would it be? It can some place you've already been. Or some place you've always dreamed of going.
Let's have some fun with this one.
Let's have some fun with this one.
I'll select one entry at random. Winner gets this beautiful serving set. The contest expires Friday at 5 PM Central Standard Time. I'll announce the winner on Saturday. You'll have two days to respond or I'll draw again.
Good Luck and Bon Apetite!

THAILAND! Salty, sweet, sour and spicy. Thai food presentation is amazing and I would just love to soak up some culture and eat up some yummy food from Thailand.
ReplyDeleteI'm am OVERLY torn between Italy and Paris.
ReplyDeleteItaly or Paris?!?!
AHHHHHHH....
Okay, going with Paris today! I have heard that you can find fresh bread and pastries roughly every other step you take. Um, YUM! ;) Not to mention, mouth watering chocolate. I've also heard that the sight-seeing isn't too bad either?!?! But you know, I'm just going off of what I've heard.
Someday, I would love to visit. Of course, with a baguette in one hand and croissant in the other!!
P.S. No, FAT and CALORIES would NOT count. Thank you for asking!!! ;)
Germany - loved the food when I was there almost 30 years ago!
ReplyDeleteI would like to eat my way through Germany. A friend of mine is living there with her Air Force husband and kids and all I hear about are the pastries and the chocolate. So bring it on Germany...I can take all of your bakeries and all of your chocolate!!!!
ReplyDeleteMary Beth
I agree with the Gonzales Family and Sarah. I loved every meal, dessert and beer I had while visiting Dresden.
ReplyDeleteNancie
You find the cutest things!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to visit Italy and enjoy all that delicious Italian food!
I like San Fransisco...the sour dough bread and chocolate at Guiradelli, dinner at the stinkin rose!(garlic!!) lots of great places to eat!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many places, but I would say, at the Amana Colonies in Iowa. They serve some delicious family style food. I miss living in Iowa since living in Texas the past 30 years!
ReplyDeleteGermany. I loved going to Walt Disney World's Biergarten restaurant a couple years ago and I want some more German food. :-)
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to travel to Italy. Although maybe I should learn Italian first...LOL
ReplyDeleteItaly. I'd LOVE to eat true Italian.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Italy....carb heaven!
ReplyDeleteI would love to stay in the US and visit all the places I've seen on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Except Hubby & I would travel on our Goldwing motorcycle instead of Guy's convertible.
ReplyDeleteI too (like Jess) am torn between Italy and France....
ReplyDeleteAfter MUCH consideration I think I would go with: France.
The deciding factor: Crepes (I like mine savory)
I'd be back in Argentina in a heart beat!!!! mmm ... mmm ... from the Carne Asada to the dulces ... now I'm really hungery ;-)
ReplyDeleteI would have to say Italy. I love me some Italian food.. although Greek sounds oddly good (I've never had Greek food)
ReplyDeletehmmm..I've only beento Mexico, so not sure what country I'd like food from! I'd love to travel to Ireland, not sure about the food! Seeing as we have 4 kids it's rare my husband and I eat out anywhere so I guess as boring as it may sound I'd be happy with a nice restaurant here! haha
ReplyDeleteAnne
Hands down Italy. I want to experience real, authentic, rustic Italian dinners. I'd also want to make sure and sample some wine from the vineyards as well :)
ReplyDeleteThis is very hard for me since I love almost all food!! I can't decide between Italy and Germany! Germany has the chocolate so that may a little more pull!! Umm, my mouth is watering. This is so unfair!
ReplyDeleteTonia
oh I would say Italy for sure!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...this is making me hungry. I love so many different kinds of food, but I think I'd like to try Italy. Italian is one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteThose serving pieces are so fun! I would love to go to the Mediterranean area. I think they are so creative with dishes there and have wonderous flavor combinations.
ReplyDeleteI would say Italy...I would love to explore the whole country and devour their delicious food!!! Ahhhh!
ReplyDeleteI love Thai food, so I'd have to say Thailand... coconut milk, what more needs to be said?
ReplyDeleteI love Thai food, so I'd have to say Thailand. Coconut milk... what more needs to be said?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Thailand! I suddenly "need" my husband to make some spicy curry for us...
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I aren't very adventerous when it comes to food. But when we went to Mexico for our honeymoon they had the best food! I've dreamt about that guacamole...you just can't find it in the states! So I'd love to go back. Yum. I'd also love to go to Europe and Germany (since my family is from Germany) to taste the authentic foods there.
ReplyDeleteBTW, those serving utensils are beautiful! My kitchen is bright green and brown so they would be perfect in my kitchen!!! :)
Tuscany. Definitely.
ReplyDeleteItaly! I am a pasta crazy person.
ReplyDeleteEating spanakopita, feta cheese, and baklava in Greece would be heavenly!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to agree with Meditteranean so that can open it up to at least two countries I am debating between...Italy and Spain. Jumbalaya anyone? Mmmm...
ReplyDeleteIreland...hands down. I would love to try anything and everything. They have so much different tastes, smells...just fabulous.
ReplyDeleteSo fun!! I have been past that store, but never been in. You can be sure I'll stop in now.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say I would like to go to Italy or Spain. Both stir my taste-buds.
